Beginnings .... (part 2)

More photos of the old layout and furnishing

Balcony area

Ugly tiles on the balcony
Kitchen cabinet ... seems like country style was the in-thing a couple of years ago.. very light wood color ..

The dryer in the kitchen ... the previous owner was kind enough to give it to us ... we actually wanted the tvs too . .haha.... but the owner's parents wanted it .. hee! .. well, can't blame us for trying right? ^^

Service balcony .. the wall that separates the kitchen from the wet area .. don't really like it .. so will get rid of it .. (some drama on this .. which we will talk about later in the blog )

Beginning....

Due to my hectic travelling schedule, Stephine my lovely and wonderful wife (and friend) had to go visit look around for suitable resale flats. She saw >20 flats in the pasir ris area and I only managed to see 4.

We came across this flat by chance, my father-in-law's friend who is in the grassroot committee told him that one of the grassroot leaders was selling his flat. So we went to visit and take a look. The moment we stepped in, both myself and Steph had a good vibe from the flat, it felt very "clean" and there was a constant flow of air in the house.. something that i don't really feel in many houses, even in our own houses. I brought my parents to take a look and my dad, being the "sixth sense" type of person felt that it was good. So we finally decided to offer for the flat. We paid a decent price and the best thing was that the owner was a lawyer and we didn't have to go through and agent, which mean more $$$ saved.

On the 1 Jan 2007, we became the new owners.
