I wake up every morning to see my 2 blessings in life . .. Steph and my amazing loud son Byron ^ ^

Rainbow

It was a rainy saturday .... met up with some friends at Wine Company along Evans Road .. first time there, surprisingly quite with good ambience ...

Anyway, went over to my parent's place ... then on the way back home, saw this beautiful rainbow. It was quite weird though, because it was already 7.10pm and yet the sky was still bright and orangey and out came this rainbow. Took this photo with my iphone ....

somehow rainbows always bring a smile to my face ... the song "Somewhere over the rainbow" was playing in my head when i was taking this picture ...

Life can be colourful even in the gloomiest of times ...

hope you like it ! :D ... maybe we will all find our pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Cheeky Face..

Lasik ... I finally took the plunge !

After many months of deliberation, I finally decided to take the plunge and do lasik on my eyes (on the 3rd December 2008). The fact that it is also covered by the company's medical benefits contributed to it.



So here i am, the morning I was supposed to do my lasik at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. I am kinda of nervous since the eyes are something that we can't do without ... ^ ^"

The procedure went pretty smoothly.. the only thing I didn't expect from the procedure is the SUPER blinding white light that you had to stare into, my surgeon Prof Heng, told me I just have to open my eyes and I will get used to it. It was really quite painful.

After that, it was:
.. '"it will last about 1 min"
.. "look into the red light"
.. "perfect, good, perfect".... *chao da smell in the air* EEKS

Before I knew, the 2 eyes were done and my surgeon said "Congratulations Yew Beng! You have a new set of eyes! "

That afternoon, I could barely open my eyes.. stinging feeling, sensitive to light ..etc.. but it is all worth it !!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VAIN !!! ^^

Introduction to food other than milk

After 6 months of breast milk, we decided that it is time for Byron to try something else ...

We started with baby cereal, at small doses .. Lo and Behold, Byron took to the spoon almost immediately!! ^ ^ Steph and myself were so amazed at how easy it was to get him to eat from the spoon..

Here's some pictures taken during his first solid food experience 2 sundays ago when he just turned 6 months !

We went to the F1 !!!

Well at least it was for the practice rounds! And it was already an adrenalin rush ... VROOOM !!!!

we were sitting at the Pit Grandstands, which costs quite a fair bit. Fortunately we were lucky enough to get free tickets ^ ^


Opposite us were the pit stops .. all the respective pits have names on them... Nico Rosberg came in 2nd in the finals! !!!

This is either Fernando Alonso or his team mate Pique (who crashed out and led to a change of events that made Alonso the winner on the final day !)

Byron is now 5 months old !

How time flies! Byron is now already 5 months. .. it wasn't too long ago when Steph's tummy was still big and we were always talking and talking to a sleeping infant hidden from the outside world.
